Safe Passage

All of the murals created for Old Riverside are based on a nautical theme and in some way, incorporate the Business Improvement Area’s logo – that of a sailboat in front of a compass rose. This mural, titled “Safe Passage,” is a personification of the BIA’s logo. The female figure represents the essence of sailing. Her windblown hair mimics the flowing water below. Her figure, draped in canvas, forms a protective sail that guides the vessels as they pass.

This 19.5m x 6m mural was sponsored by: Service Canada, The City of Windsor and the Old Riverside Business Improvement Area.
